About the event
Do you want to hike, see birds, and explore Franklin Park? Well, if you do, this "bird hike" is for you! Join me and park friends on Saturday, Oct 25th, from 9am - 12am as I take you on a hike through Franklin Park, looking for birds! We will explore the wilderness area, Over Look Ruins, Scarboro Hill, and Pond area! This walk will incorporate hiking, birding, and exploration of Franklin Park all in one! Free event, courtesy of the Franklin Park Coalition. Beginners birders are encouraged to join! No registration. Just show up! 🙂
Information for participants: Please bring binoculars if you have them. Limited loaner binoculars will be available.
We recommend wearing hiking/comfortable shoes and dressing for the weather conditions. Expect to walk up to 4 miles on paved, dirt, and rocky surfaces with some incline. The nearest restrooms are at the Franklin Park Golf Course Clubhouse. In…
