ABOUT
NATURE MAN MIKE
My name is Michael Bryant, aka Nature Man Mike, and I'm based in Boston, MA. I'm a professional photographer, photography workshop instructor, bird walk guide, and host of international bird photography tours and workshops. I've been doing nature photography for about 20 years. I've been a professional portrait, event, and wedding photographer for 15 years. My love for photography started with nature! It's the reason I first picked up a camera! Eventually, I got into portrait photography, and in 2009, Michael Bryant Photography was created.
I love photographing all of nature in general, but I started focusing a lot more on birds in 2017. I think they're fascinating, fun to photograph, and I'm able to photograph them year-round here in Massachusetts. One day, I told myself, "I'm going to follow the birds south!" It started with several trips to Florida, then eventually I traveled to Costa Rica. That's when I knew I was hooked!
Once I started focusing on birds, I began to learn their behaviors, habitats, and calls to know where to find them and get the best possible photos. As that continued, it increased my knowledge of birds, which eventually allowed me to lead local bird walks.
Through the world of birding, I've had the pleasure to work with organizations like the Franklin Park Coalition, Brookline Bird Club, Urban Nature Walk, Mass Audubon, Fenway Civic Association, Arnold Arboretum, The Great Malden Outdoors and more.
Welcome to my world of birding!
